Silksworth Pool, Sunderland - [General News]
Veale-Nixon have been awarded the electrical installation contarct for Silksworth Pool. This is a new-build 4 lane 25m community pool to be attached to the Puma Tennis Centre, part of the Suilksworth Sports Complex and Ski Centre which has been developed over the past 20 years on the former Silksworth Colliery site, south of Sunderland.
The project, which is being undertaken by Dutch firm Pellicaan, is due for completion in December 2009.
A small scale ground source heat pump system has been incorporated into the scheme as a primary heat source.
The electrical installation includes Fire and Intruder Alarms. Public Address System, CCTV, Building Access Control and Induction-Loop Hearing Systems together with Poolside Emergency Incident Alarm, Session Indicator Boards and ICT Data Cabling.
