Whitley Bay Playhouse - [General News]

Veale-Nixon Ltd are to undertake the electrical installation at The Playhouse as part of the Whitley Bay Seafront Regeneration Scheme
The Playhouse, which was built in 1913 as a theatre, later converted to a cinema and then back to a theatre again is to undergo an £8.3m refurbishment as part of the project to regenerate the whole Whitley Bay Seafront.
The refurbishment will include new front of house facilities, including new bar and foyer; new auditorium seating; new entrance with DDA compliant access/lift; new dressing rooms; Orchestra Pit and new 150 seat capacity rehersal room.
In addition the building, in its prominent seafront position will be floodlit at night.

This is a new-build 4 lane 25m community pool to be attached to the Puma Tennis Centre, part of the Suilksworth Sports Complex and Ski Centre which has been developed over the past 20 years on the former Silksworth Colliery site, south of Sunderland.

29 December 2008 - Veale-Nixon have been appointed as electrical contractors for the new £26m sports facility being constructed at the City West Campus on the site of the old Northumberland Road Building Annexe and due for completion in June 2010.
